The end of January brings snow into the City again. To minimize the negative impact of snowfall on Bratislava citizens 55 snow machines and 83 manual workers of .A.S.A. Slovensko (Technické služby) are on call. Their emergency service began like every year on December 1st and it is assumed to finish on March 15th, 2013. .A.S.A. has provided winter maintenance for the City of Bratislava since 2002.

During the most difficult year of the economic crisis, the Citizen Services group reported a slight improvement in net profit, a gain in market share outside Spain, an improvement in efficiency in all business areas, and containment of debt.

When we read of a waste landfill, we usually imagine a pile of rubbish. The disposal site in Halbenrain (AT), though, shows that this need not necessarily correspond to reality. This landfill site is the oldest within the .A.S.A. group. Already the first glance from the entrance reveals a tree-covered hill. As you walk among the robinias and other trees, with a little luck you can see hares, deer, and even snakes. In a couple of centuries, this forest will be part of the surrounding wildlife; a result of a safe and environment friendly waste disposal system.
