Thermal waste treatment
The incinerator in Kysucké Nové Mesto is a facility designed for the thermal disposal of surplus, hazardous and hospital-generated waste, particularly organic and combustible waste from the waste originator in the Slovak Republic.
Based on requirements of current emissions legislation the incinerator in Kysucké Nové Mesto was reconstructed after the company .A.S.A. SLOVENSKO spol. s.r.o. began operating it in 2007. The reconstruction of the incinerator included the incinerating chamber, a secure new system for burning off waste gas in the thermal reactor, and a new system for filtering waste gases. The reconstruction also included installing continuous measuring equipment. Reconstruction of the incinerator has provided new means for obtaining an energy source from incinerated waste and distributing it to the existing power network. The most modern and likewise the best available technology from the viewpoint of protecting the atmosphere and other parts of the environment are being used in the incinerator.
Since assuming control of operations, we have carried out all the necessary measurements of emissions and also fulfilled the other operating conditions stipulated by the appropriate authorities. Periodic measuring performed by responsible personnel has confirmed compliance of emissions standards within the predetermined limits set by regulations. At present the incinerator is operating continuously.
