In connection with Day of the planet more than 2,500 pupils in primary schools in the municipalities of Žabari, Žagubica, Malo Crniće and Kučevo participated in the action of collecting recyclable materials.
In accordance with the principles and standards of corporate responsibility .A.S.A. EKO supported the action, which indicates the importance of waste reduction through the selection, separation and recycling and environment protection. As a new waste management strategic partner of company Trojon & Fischer in Žabari, Žagubica, Malo Crniće Rabrovo and local communities, .A.S.A. has joined with pleasure in this, primarily educational campaign. In the action participated older members of student’s families. They helped children to deliver all collected amounts of secondary raw materials to the collecting points.
During the campaign it was collected over 5 tons of different secondary materials: cardboard, PET bottles and cans, handed over for recycling, which is most important in nature hence will not end up as waste. .A.S.A. provided donations for the Schools were students collected the most material, but the children with their teachers say that the most important award for them is living in a clean environment free from waste.
