History – Continuous growth

  • 1994
    • “REB – RWE Entsorgung Bulgaria EOOD”, a subsidiary of the German group of companies RWE (PBE) is established on the territory of Bulgaria. In its first years three big companies in the cities of Bourgas, Varna and Rousse are set up.

  • 1999
    • RWE gets awarded with public contracts for services in the municipalities of Pleven, Yambol and Lovech. The branch in Pleven becomes the largest one on the service territory till preset.

  • 2000
    • A branch in the municipality of Dobrich is established after having been declared as the winner of a public tender. 
  • 2001
    • Company Scheele, registered in Germany, becomes the new owner of the company and adapted the name to “Scheele Bulgaria EOOD”.

  • 2003
    • A branch in the municipality of Razgrad is established. Scheele obtains a second public procurement for the services of street cleaning and winter maintenance in the municipality of Dobrich.
  • 2004
    • The business territory is enlarged to 6 additional municipalities – Etropole, Pravetz, Dupnitza, Lukovit, Karnobat and Pazardjik.

  • 2005
    • Scheele obtains contracts with municipality Isperih, Dolna Mitropoliya, Radnevo and Aytos, as well as a second procurement for 17 villages within the territory of the municipality of Razgrad.

  • 2006
    • Service is provided in the municipality of Popovo and a contract for additional services is concluded with the municipality of Razgrad.

    • In Gotze Delchev a new company is established.

  • 2008
    • .A.S.A. International Environmental Services GmbH, a waste management company registered in Austria, becomes the sole-owner of Scheele Bulgaria EOOD.

    • The company gets awarded with a contract for servicing the villages within the municipality of Dobrich and succeeds in renewing the contract for sweeping, cleaning and winter maintenance with the municipality of Dobrich.

  • 2009
    • Since April .A.S.A. Scheele EOOD is providing services in district Oboriste in the city of Sofia, according to a signed contract.

    • .A.S.A. Scheele EOOD is officially renamed to .A.S.A. Bulgaria EOOD on 18.11.2009.
